Anchorage Park Foundation Neighborhood Forest Improvement: Invasive Species

This funding is focused on removing invasive European Bird Cherry Trees (Prunus padus) from Chanstnu Muldoon Park and private property surrounding the park land. In 2024, ASWCD and ANC-CISMA hosted the 17th annual Anchorage Weed Smackdown at Chanstnu Muldoon Park, with a whooping 125 volunteers! More work will be completed in the area in 2025.
